Capacitance Level Sensors
Capacitance level sensors provide a cost-effective method for measuring the level of liquids or bulk solids within a tank. These sensors utilise the tank to form a capacitive circuit. Any change in the level within the tank alters the measured capacitance, which corresponds directly to the level of the material.
Processplus offers a range of capacitance level sensors suitable for both continuous and point level measurement.
Applications include
- Continuous level measurement of a single-product tank or silo
- Interface measurement in fully flooded tanks or silos
- Point level foam measurement in whisky mash tanks
- Point level detection of liquids in tanks or silos
Certifications include
- ATEX certification
- FM (Factory Mutual) approval
- CSA (Canadian Standards Association) approval
- IEC Ex certification
- INMETRO approval
- NEPSI (National Supervision and Inspection Centre for Explosion Protection and Safety of Instrumentation) certification
- EAC (Eurasian Conformity) certification
- SIL (Safety Integrity Level) compliance
- MCERTS accreditation
Communication Output Options include
- 0/4 to 20mA analogue signals
- Digital outputs (relay, PNP, NPN)
