A turbine flow meter has angled blades around a central post. As the product passes over the blades, the post begins to spin. The speed of rotation correlates to the velocity of the medium passing through the pipeline. The volume of flow through the pipeline can then be calculated.
An insertion-type variant is also available.
Flow measurement data can be read in the field via a local display or transmitted to another control and display system. Alternatively, a 4-20mA output can be sent directly to a process control system.
This meter technology offers highly accurate flow measurement.
There are also numerous transmitter options available.
